Frozen Landscape

Spring had to take a break today while everything was encased in ice. The Honeyberries and Pussy Willows start early in spring, so are more likely to experience freezing rain when breaking dormancy.

Blue Velvet Honeyberry

The Honeyberry looks like it really wants to create fruit. These small bushes have flowers in pairs, so pollination is more likely.

Honeyberry Flowering

Honeyberry is an edible fruiting bush that is in the Lonicera genus.   This bush is also called Haskap. They are the first ripe fruit of the year and birds take advantage of that.
