Spider Beech

It looks like a Garden Spider is protecting my Purple Beech. There has been a large population of these spiders this summer.

Columnar Purple Beech

New red leaves and old purple leaves combine on this little Beech tree. The Columnar Purple Beech is a cultivar of the European Beech(Fagus sylvatica).
