Paulownia Tomentosa is not completely hardy here. It is the shrubby tree growing on the left side. The leaves can be huge early in life.

Paulownia Fast Iowa Growing Tree
The Paulownia(Paulownia tomentosa) is an unusual tree that has died back to the ground, only to come back stronger now than before. The tree has huge leaves that make me look small.
