Giant Miscanthus Grass

Giant Miscanthus is a large grass topped with spectacular plumes in fall. This tall grass can top out over 10′ tall  by fall and is used for fast growing windbreaks, screens, and biomass.

Pokeweed Berry Production

One Pokeweed plant can have hundreds, if not thousands of fruit.   These perennials die back to the ground every year but come back with a lot of growth and can be the size of a bush.

Final Pepper Harvest

With colder weather coming, I harvested the remaining Hot and Sweet Peppers. Most of the Peppers are Jalapeno and Bell Peppers.  A lot of the Jalapeno will be dried, while the Bell Peppers will be processed and put in the freezer.

Fall Radishes

Growing Radishes has been more successful than spring. I harvest them as needed, then when the ground will freeze, I harvest the rest.   I can eat them for most of the winter.

Honeyberry Confusion

Sunflower Relatives

Jerusalem Artichokes are perennial plants, that are related to Sunflowers. Also called Sunchokes, these plants are grown for their edible, underground tubers.  They also have a good flower display in fall.

Variegated Cilantro

I have been growing a lot Cilantro every year, as I use it in food. I get some self seeding and this Variegated Cilantro appeared.
